Being born and raised in Chicago allowed house music to seep into Aaron’s veins. The home of house music allowed for an overflow of great music and DJ’s all over the city. He always had an interest in spinning but never picked up his own decks. Occasionally, Aaron would mess around on a friend’s tables, but he never had any records of his own. Finally, he scraped up enough money to grab some of his own turntables. Since then, Aaron has never looked back. At first, it was more of a hobby, simply playing out in the bedroom, as all DJ’s start. But, after spinning at a few friends’ parties, he was addicted to playing for a crowd.
After moving to NYC in 2002, Aaron has been fortunate enough to keep music as a mainstay in his life. He’s had the opportunity to spin all over the place, from huge events such as club grand openings, to laid-back lounges in the East Village. Aaron has held down multiple residencies throughout the city, along with currently DJ’ing events under the project names: “Red Pepper Sessions”, “Electrolab”, and “Broken Home”. Recently, one of his mixes, “Melodic Groove”, was featured by Eric Visa on Live365.com. Also, the e-zine, Slurry Magazine featured Aaron in their music section of the winter addition.

As well as DJ’ing, Aaron has begun to shift his focus towards the production end a bit and hope to continue down that avenue. “When I’m out at a club, checking out a DJ, ideas are constantly running through my head. I just hope I remember to get them down before they run out of my head.” Check out the news on RFR for more details on current projects.
